I graduated from the University of South Carolina with Leadership Distinction in Global Learning. A requirement of this distinction was creating an online portfolio discussing and illustrating the inside and beyond the classroom experiences that contributed to this pathway. The portfolio can be found here ooluwole1.wix.com/mysite

When I studied abroad at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia I wrote two articles for the university’s student run magazine, Universe. Those articles were  Brisbane from Exchange Student’s Perspective and What’s in the Bag.

This was a video I made to highlight some of my best moments studying abroad in Brisbane.

I kept a blog for six months documenting my experiences abroad especially when it came to meeting new people and learning about different cultures, adjusting to the new environment, traveling in the country and the overall ups and downs of the journey. oredownunder.tumblr.com

While I was studying abroad, I was profiled in a UofSC Admissions video. I talked about the experience, how it changed me and what I was able to learn from it.

The summer between sophomore and junior year I underwent a two week adventure to Germany. I was enrolled in a class called Multimedia Maymester in Germany (JOUR 463). The class was made up of 25 students and two professors. We were split into five groups to produce a video and print piece on a topic of our choosing. My group’s topic focused on being a travel guide for college students and young adults visiting Munich and Berlin.

I was a student volunteer for CreateAthon in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. This was a 24 event where students do public relations work for local nonprofits. I was part of the documentary team where we created a video to showcase the experience and handled the Facebook and Twitter accounts.
